A Very Fish-y Birthday Party

Next week, my little tiny baby Finn will turn 3. So we celebrated this past weekend with a big ole Fish Birthday Party! I’m not kidding when I tell you I barely even feel appropriate putting this on the blog because there is so very little that is “taylormade” about this party. But I made Finn and its his party so here ya go.I found a pack of fish cutouts at a party store and just kept it simple with balloons. I used a fish net for the table and had “fish snacks” and pizza. Then I accidentally bought a round tablecloth for our huge rectangular table :/

My mom, once again did an amazing job on the cake!! Remember last years cupcakes?

Finn is like me, if we choose to be the center of attention (which happens often) then its ok… but singing happy bday is still a little awkward haha.

He was totally spoiled :)

And I made cute party favors :) I will tell you all about my almost craft fail later this week.

It was the best birthday party ever! I can’t believe my baby is so grown up. I guess I can still say I have a 2 year old for a few more days. Happy soon to be birthday sweet boy!

A Red Birthday Party

Remember when I told you that my little man turned one last week?! Time Flies! His birthday fell on a Monday this year so we had our families over and I asked everyone to wear Red. It is a week until Valentines Day so the color RED has been readily available so I went with a RED theme. red decor, red balloons and red food! He had a cupcake, and was curious as to why everyone was staring at him…

He was spoiled with gifts and attention. As it should be on your birthday!

And of course big brother had to help him figure some things out.

A “Make Your Own Ornament” Party

Ah sequins, so festive. I have a group of girlfriends who I have remained close with through the years and we all are living back in the same area again. We go by the “coyotes” – don’t judge I think we made up the name when we were 14ish. We grew up together and have been a group since 6th grade, some of us were even in the same kindergarten class! I am lucky to have them because I know its rare. Once a month, we take turns hosting “Coyote Night” and this past month it was my turn… craft hour and wine… yes please.

How to host your own Ornament Party:sequins, sequins, sequins – I got an array of colors and sizes

I also got a variety pack

You need sequin pins, which are not the same as sewing pins and will be located by the sequins at the craft store. I bought gold and silver, and we were picky about which ones we used, then we realized you couldn’t even tell the difference.

Styrofoam Balls, these came in a 6 pack

extras: ribbon for the hanging part, foam glue is optional, extra little dishes for each person

There doesn’t have to be any rhyme or reason to the ornament making and that is why it was fun. It is perfect for a girl get together because it it mindless so you can still talk, eat and drink :)

Some of us had a color scheme, some did a pattern, and some were totally random, I love them all!

Progress… it does take a while, thankfully for us we never run out of things to say.

White Wine Sangria

As promised, White Wine Sangria. I figured if you had to come to a two year old party, the least I could do is serve Sangria, right? And its just too hot for red wine so, White Wine Sangria it is!

This batch I made was simple, refreshing and low cal because it is made with Fresca. This recipe makes a ton so you can always cut it in half. Add more or less wine to make it as strong/weak as you like.White Wine Sangria:– 1.5 L. Bottle White Wine (I actually used Chardonnay)– 1/2 L. Fresca – 1 can peach nectar-1/2 c. limeade-fresh fruit (I used lemons, oranges, strawberries and peaches)
