You know I like to make covers for things… Nook Covers, Silhouette Covers, Casserole Covers, Camera Strap Covers… the list goes on. Well, I’m at it again. When my sister’s friend asked me to make a cover for her new Kindle Fire, I was all over it. I used the same pattern from my original Nook Covers and you can read all about that HERE. The ETSY shop is called Birdiful Stitches and I highly recommend the pattern! ( I have no affiliation with her, just like her pattern :)
I love to mix fabrics with busy patterns so I used three for this one,
and now it makes me want a new one too.
And while we are on the subject of E-Readers (kind of) I never cared for reading before my Nook. I mean I wouldn’t do it, now I love it. Did that happen to anyone else? I just finished the Hunger Games Series. OMG, never have I loved a middle-school-aged book since my love for The Giver. I couldn’t put it down and I might or might not be counting down the days until the movie come out.
Great cover, her pattern really is awesome. Love, love, love the Hunger Games (& The Giver)! Every time the movie trailer comes on I get super excited! I agree about the Nook. I’ve always loved reading, but I read a ton more now that I have it.
i REALLY wanna get a nook, now that i’m reading more too! and i mean, YES OBVI i love the hunger games. it’s a large reason i’m thinking of getting a nook. in pink, obvi. although, if you could make a pink cover for it, i guess i’d be happy with that too :)
I don’t have a Nook but I do have the Kindle (older version – probably will upgrade to Fire soon) – I have read the Hunger Games and totally loved it. Now I want to read the Giver – never heard of it and am excited to read it. If you really want a great series to read and I can’t shout this from the rooftops enough – The Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon. The first book starts a little slow so bear down through the first 100 pages but those pages are totally necessary as a foundation. Then – get set for excitement, history, romance, intrigue and a great ride. They are meganovels so it will take a while to read them. The next book (9 I think) will be out around summer 2013. But you will get some serious mileage out of your e-reader with this series. And I have read it three times and listened to it once on audible. Can’t get enough.
Ohhhh my gosh! Simply adorable!!! Hope you’ll link this up at our new linky party! We feature our favorites each week! We’re your newest followers and we’d love to have you link up and follow if you’d like!
I got a kindle fire for Christmas and LOVE it (using it right now actually!) Magazines on my kindle are my new favorite thing! Love the cover and fabrics you used. Too cute!
I like this idea. I have 3 Kindles, an I-pad, and an Android Tablet. As you might surmise, I LOVE to read! I am a mystery fan, but since I retired, I want to read many of the classics. Might I suggest to all The Jungle, by Upton Sinclair, and the Iron Heel, by Jack London? I also love the http://www.gutenberg.org/ site, as they have all the great books for free, in many different formats. I even found my childhood story that I loved so well: Wind in the Willows!
